Babita is a self-taught abstract realism artist based in Singapore, known for creating emotionally resonant artworks that explore identity, resilience, and inner transformation. After an 18-year career in the corporate world, Babita took a bold step to leave behind convention and step fully into her authentic self, pursuing a lifelong calling in art.
Her work is deeply rooted in personal experience, particularly her journey through motherhood, healing, and rediscovering her voice. Each piece is a visual reflection of her inner voice, layered with meaning, raw emotion, and a sense of hope. Using a harmonious blend of acrylics, oils, pastels, spray paints, and textured mediums, Babita creates vibrant, tactile compositions that balance chaos and calm, realism and abstraction.
Babita has exhibited widely in Singapore and internationally, including her recent showcase at World Art Dubai 2025, one of the region’s largest contemporary art fairs. Her recent collection “Emergence” was showcased for the first time at Dubai, a collection of vibrant splashes and bold, untamed animals, through which she captures the journey of emerging from limitations, embracing courage, and rediscovering freedom. Her works have also featured in prominent group exhibitions and charitable art shows that align with her belief in art as a force for emotional connection and social good.
Driven by the desire to connect with others through honest expression, Babita continues to push the boundaries of her practice, inviting viewers to pause, feel, and find fragments of their own story in her art.
