"Drawing from ancient wisdom, my practice creates a visual dialogue between the Self and the Absolute, inviting a deeper, intuitive connection"
Based in Singapore, Nidhi is a contemporary abstract artist whose practice explores energy, consciousness, and inner transformation. Born in India and shaped by a culturally rich upbringing across the country, her work draws from mythology, ancient philosophy, and cross-cultural visual traditions. Her paintings translate intangible states of being into layered, expressive compositions that move beyond representation into the experiential. Her visual language exists between abstraction and form, where familiar shapes dissolve into imagined realms. Deeply influenced by Vedic philosophy and contemplative thought, her work reflects a search for connection between the Self and the Absolute. Each piece is conceived as an energetic field rather than a fixed image, inviting stillness, introspection, and an intuitive engagement that resonates beyond the visible.
Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media on canvas and paper, Nidhi’s process is intuitive and layered. She builds surfaces through fluid mark-making, intricate detailing, and the interplay of colour, texture, and luminosity. Metallic accents and gestural lines create a sense of movement and depth, allowing the works to shift subtly with light, mirroring the transient nature of inner experience.
Her works have been exhibited in several prestigious art fairs and are held in private collections across Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Dubai, London, and the United States. Through her evolving practice, she continues to position art as a meditative and transformative space, engaging collectors drawn to meaning beyond the aesthetic.
